Round Explainer
Here's how it works...
REGULAR ROUNDS
There are a selection of rounds that you will find featured on more than one quiz such as GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, FILM/TV, TECHNOLOGY, BACK TO SCHOOL, SPORT. These are all easy to follow and are usually 10 question rounds with a variety of questions based on the above subjects.
CONNECTION
Usually another 5-10 questions where the answers to each question are all related to a common subject or group. (Bird Species, Rollercoasters or Dance moves for example) The 10th question is usually where you would list what links the previous 9 answers.
ANAGRAM
Similar to the connection round above. Instead of full answers being part of a common subject or group, only interested in the first letter of each answer. If correctly answered the player will end up with 9 letters that are scrambled and will need to work out the anagram. Optionally can provide a brief clue to the anagram to help if needed.
KNOCK OUT BUILDER
Usually a shorter round (5 questions) but with much higher stakes. Each question has a progressive amount of answers and therefore points on offer, most commonly Q1 worth 1 point and Q2 worth 2 points etc.. The catch is if any wrong answer is given then this wipes out the whole round so one for the high rollers!!
MUSIC ROUND
Quizzes featuring a music round are set out as simple as possible. The intention is that a short amount of each track will be played in the order they are written, Players need to guess the track and artist (A point for each). The user will need to have access to a streaming platform and a speaker system if needed (for bigger events)
